Mark has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including ownership of two home care agencies. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Mark and his wife Lucy relocated to Waynesville in 2021. When not spending time with his family or German Shepherd, Chloe, Mark can be found fly-fishing on the Tuckasegee River.

Erin began her career in aging services at age 16 as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Lenoir-Rhyne University and a master’s degree in Gerontology and Nonprofit Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Her career has spanned nonprofit senior living, state government, healthcare quality improvement, and aging-services research. Throughout her work, Erin has developed a particular interest in planning, evaluating and creating services that help people navigate aging with greater independence and choice.

Erin joined Givens Communities in 2018 and later served on the exploratory committee that helped develop Givens Choice, a model she had followed since graduate school. She was named Executive Director of Givens Choice in 2022. Erin lives in Henderson County with her husband, Wilkes, and their three sons.
